We will spend time reflecting, sharing, and praying as we make good use of the Day of Remembrance. We will also share our hopes and goals for the coming year. You may bring your Bible and something to make notes. BUT - please bring one penny - the oldest, dirtiest, yuckiest penny you can find. Why? For a modern version of an old tradition (tashlich). We will have sliced apples and honey - another tradition - and I'm sure Patti or Rik will have on the coffee.

WHEN: Friday, September 10th at 7:30 pm

WHAT: Yom Kippur Service at Valley of Blessing
WHEN: Friday, September 17th at 7:30 pm
WHERE: 200 State Street, Greensboro, NC
INFORMATION: Just as Yom Teruah reveals the coming time of Judgment and the rapture of the believers in Mashiach, Yom Kippur prophetically pictures the Day of Judgment in the Last Days. We take this season to focus our attention on Yeshua and confess our sins, repent and turn our lives and our hearts toward Him. Sin is so offensive and the debt is so great that it took nothing less than the sacrifice of Yeshua Himself in order to secure our reconciliation with God. We therefore should tremble with fear before God in reverent gratitude of His mercy toward us. This season is also a time of thanksgiving for those that believe in Yeshua that our sins are forever taken away.
Because the Biblically mandated fast begins at sundown on Friday, please no not bring any food for our oneg. We will spend our oneg in fellowship without food. We do, however, invite you to attend our Break the Fast service on Shabbat evening at 526 N. Elam Ave.

WHAT: Sukkot Service in the Sukkah
